Apply helper process sandboxing by default and replace the old
--enable-sandbox switch with --disable-sandbox. Propagate the opt-out
from Ladybird, test-web, and WebDriver to WebContent, WebWorker,
RequestServer, ImageDecoder, and Compositor.
Compositor still needs to decode font resources from display-list IPC
after startup. Let its sandbox grant read-only access to configured font
directories and bundled resource fonts through Landlock, and allow
read-only open plus metadata syscalls in the seccomp policy.
Preload the same font directories before installing the sandbox so the
Compositor can handle display lists that reference system-backed fonts.
The full test-web suite completes without Compositor sandbox crashes.
Add opt-in Linux sandbox support to Compositor. Ladybird and test-web
pass --enable-sandbox through when requested, and Compositor only
installs the sandbox when that flag is present.
Install the sandbox after Compositor has initialized platform, font, and
GPU state so startup probing can complete before filesystem access is
removed. Compose the runtime seccomp policy from LibSandbox building
blocks and add an explicit GPU device operations group for driver IPC
through already-open descriptors.
Add an explicit initializer for process-lifetime event loops and use it
for browser, helper service, and utility main loops. This preserves weak
event loop references for cross-thread users while making main thread
loop lifetime independent of normal program teardown.
With CompositorState in place, Browser and WebContent need an actual
wire protocol to drive it: which calls are sync, who validates that a
WebContent is allowed to touch a given context, how compositor loss
propagates back to the renderer. This commit fills in the four endpoints
around CompositorState and the matching WebContent-side helpers so the
future remote host can forward CompositorHost calls directly. The
service still has no clients, so default rendering is unchanged.
The compositor is moving into a dedicated helper process. That requires
a process to launch, channels for Browser and WebContent to talk to it
over, and client proxies on each side. Land all of that as an inert
scaffold first, gated behind --enable-compositor-process, so the default
rendering path is unchanged and later commits can fill in the protocol,
the service-side state, and the runtime switch against a stable target.
