Store parser errors, source range filenames, source code filenames,
module source, and Rust parser errors as UTF-16 where they flow back
into JavaScript-visible strings. Keep byte-oriented source buffers
byte-backed.
Remove temporary PrimitiveString, ByteString, and UTF-8 detours from
JSON, RegExp, module debug logging, print formatting, and tests.
Produce JS-visible string results as UTF-16 at their source, including
numeric formatting, BigInt and BigFraction formatting, URI encoding,
console formatting, parser errors, regular expression errors, Intl and
Temporal records, LibUnicode locale boundaries, and LibWeb bindings.
Handle fractional radix formatting through the UTF-16 builder view.
Thread UTF-16 string input through JSON, script parsing, Date parsing,
Intl option parsing, Temporal parsing, and the helper library boundaries
that feed those parsers. Preserve ASCII fast paths where the source data
is known to be ASCII.
Build JSON.stringify, Date ISO strings, and Temporal string results with
Utf16StringBuilder when the result is consumed as a JavaScript string.
Keep UTF-8 conversion only at callers that explicitly need bytes outside
LibJS.
This reverts commit c14173f651. We
should only annotate the minimum number of symbols that external
consumers actually use, so I am starting from scratch to do that
The JS runtime is full of checks for is<NumberObject> and friends.
They were showing up in a Speedometer profile as ~1% spent in
dynamic_cast, and this basically chops that down to nothing.
We now have the Temporal facilities to implement the Date AOs which
parse UTC offset strings using the ISO8601 parser. This patch updates
those AOs and their callers in accordance with the Temporal spec.
Resulting in a massive rename across almost everywhere! Alongside the
namespace change, we now have the following names:
* JS::NonnullGCPtr -> GC::Ref
* JS::GCPtr -> GC::Ptr
* JS::HeapFunction -> GC::Function
* JS::CellImpl -> GC::Cell
* JS::Handle -> GC::Root
The tzset documentation says that TZ allows a per-second local timezone,
so don't be needlessly clever here.
No observable behavior difference at this point, but if we ever
implement tzset, this will have a small effect.
Test files created with:
$ for f in Libraries/LibJS/Tests/builtins/Date/Date.prototype.get*js; do
cp $f $(echo $f | sed -e 's/get/getUTC/') ;
done
$ rm Libraries/LibJS/Tests/builtins/Date/Date.prototype.getUTCTime.js
$ git add Libraries/LibJS/Tests/builtins/Date/Date.prototype.getUTC*.js
$ ls Libraries/LibJS/Tests/builtins/Date/Date.prototype.getUTC*.js | \
xargs sed -i -e 's/get/getUTC/g'
To allow implementing the DOM class hierarchy in JS bindings, this
patch adds an inherits() function that can be used to ask an Object
if it inherits from a specific C++ class (by name).
The necessary overrides are baked into each Object subclass by the
new JS_OBJECT macro, which works similarly to C_OBJECT in LibCore.
Thanks to @Dexesttp for suggesting this approach. :^)
.. and make travis run it.
I renamed check-license-headers.sh to check-style.sh and expanded it so
that it now also checks for the presence of "#pragma once" in .h files.
It also checks the presence of a (single) blank line above and below the
"#pragma once" line.
I also added "#pragma once" to all the files that need it: even the ones
we are not check.
I also added/removed blank lines in order to make the script not fail.
I also ran clang-format on the files I modified.
This adds:
- A global Date object (with `length` property and `now` function)
- The Date constructor (no arguments yet)
- The Date prototype (with `get*` functions)
