sort_matching_rules() was calling Selector::specificity() inside the
sort comparator. MatchingRule already caches the specificity value
at rule insertion time, so use that directly instead.
The clean-up in 71c457c36e turns out to
not be enough for all cases. So be more thorough and clear up anything
that could affect the next test.
In particular this fixes flakiness in `Text/input/select-text.html` but
hopefully it solves the issue for good!
Previously, when applying `text-overflow: ellipsis`, line box fragments
after the ellipsis point were removed from the line box. This
invalidated fragment indices stored in `containing_line_box_fragment`,
causing an out-of-bounds access in `LayoutState::commit()` when
resolving atomic inline positions.
Instead of removing fragments, mark them as hidden. This preserves
index stability while preventing hidden fragments from being displayed.
IntersectionObserver updates already iterate over each observer and its
observation targets. We then looked the same target and observer pair up
again through Element's registered observer list just to read and write
previousThresholdIndex and previousIsIntersecting.
Store that mutable state with the observer-side observation target
instead. The element-side list now only keeps strong observer
references for lifetime management and unobserve/disconnect.
This deviates from the spec's storage model, so document the difference
next to the preserved spec comments.
This is sometimes the best tool for the job. To try and make it less of
a footgun that peek_token() is identical to next_token(), make the
offset required, and note the shared behaviour. Also move them
together, and make the internal code match.
The main change is that we now wait to consume the token until we know
we want it, instead of consuming it and then later putting it back.
While I was here, I spec-commented some parts and updated the URL.
Reconsuming the current token relies on parse_css_value_for_properties()
only consuming a single token, which may be true now but isn't safe to
assume. Wrapping that in a Transaction and reverting it if we need to
run manual parsing, is a much safer pattern.
Ideally we'll get parse_css_value_for_properties() to run the
per-property bespoke parsing code eventually.
Equivalent to using mark() and restore_a_mark() from before, except it
runs even if we return a SyntaxError.
Also removes the deprecated reconsume_current_input_token() call - this
never actually did anything useful anyway.
If a test calls internals.mouseDown() without also calling mouseUp(),
the following test can start with the EventHandler thinking a mouse
button is still held, and this confuses drag events. This led to our
drag-and-drop.html test being flaky.
Usually the GC collects the EventHandler::m_mousedown_target, but
sometimes that is kept alive, probably because of the conservative GC
stack/register scan.
Manually clear this state at the end of each test so it can't interfere.
Verified with this command, which fails ~40% of the time without this
change, and fails 0% of the time with it. :^)

When an ancestor document is unloaded, its child documents are unloaded
(and destroyed) first, which leaves their navigable's active document
null. If the ancestor's pagehide handler then removes a subtree
containing one of those iframe containers, destroy_the_child_navigable
crashed dereferencing the null active document.
Treat the "destroy a document and its descendants" step as a no-op when
there is no document left to destroy, and still run the remaining
post-destruction cleanup.
This fixes a crash when closing a GMail tab.
When the two component percentages of color-mix() sum
to less than 100%, the remainder is used as an alpha multiplier applied
to the interpolated result's alpha. Previously, this was only applied
in the runtime `to_color()` path, not when computing the absolutized
value used by `getComputedStyle()`.
Switch both paths to use `perform_color_interpolation()` directly so the
alpha multiplier can be applied to the interpolated components before
they are converted to a style value.
Previously this walked up the parent chain on every call, which shows
up as a 2.5% item in the profile while watching YouTube videos.
Cache an m_is_connected bit on Node instead, maintained by the DOM
insertion and removal steps.
When receiving a 401 response, we previously entered the credential
prompt path for any request with a WWW-Authenticate header. This caused
spurious "Username/password prompt is not implemented" warnings and
unnecessary request retries for auth schemes like PrivateToken
(RFC 9577) that don't involve user credential prompts.
Only enter the 401 handling path when the WWW-Authenticate header
contains a scheme we can handle with a username/password prompt
(Basic or Digest). This is consistent with how Chromium, Firefox,
and WebKit all silently skip unrecognized auth schemes.
We previously supported autoscroll while the middle mouse button was
pressed. We now also support clicking the middle mouse button in-place
to begin autoscroll. Pressing any mouse button or the escape key will
exit this mode.
- These should be Percentage tokens, not Dimensions.
- The `unit_name` is "percent", so the serialization also came out wrong
as e.g. `10percent` instead of `10%`.
NativeFunction previously stored an AK::Function for every builtin,
even when the callable was just a plain C++ entry point. That mixed
together two different representations, made simple builtins carry
capture storage they did not need, and forced the GC to treat every
native function as if it might contain captured JS values.
Introduce RawNativeFunction for plain NativeFunctionPointer callees
and keep AK::Function-backed callables on a CapturingNativeFunction
subclass. Update the straightforward native registrations in LibJS
and LibWeb to use the raw representation, while leaving exported
Wasm functions on the capturing path because they still capture
state.
Wrap UniversalGlobalScope's byte-length strategy lambda in
Function<...> explicitly so it keeps selecting the capturing
NativeFunction::create overload.
The counter style used for an element (in either the `content` or
`list-style-type`) may change despite the computed values of properties
on that element remaining the same (e.g. if a new rule is inserted with
higher cascade precedence).
This was a pretty straightforward change of storing registered counter
styles on the relevant `StyleScope`s and resolving by following the
process to dereference a global tree-scoped name, the only things of
note are:
- We only define predefined counter styles (e.g. decimal) on the
document's scope (since otherwise overrides in outer scopes would
themselves be overriden).
- When registering counter styles we don't have the full list of
extendable styles so we defer fallback to "decimal" for undefined
styles until `CounterStyle::from_counter_style_definition`.
Some SVG clip paths were recorded against bounds larger than their
defined geometry, which can make nested display lists clip wrong.
Compute bounds from the full clip geometry according to the CSS
masking specification.
This relied on input_since() being called after
consume_an_ident_sequence(), which is not at all guaranteed. GCC
evidently evaluates the arguments in the opposite order.
This caused AtKeyword tokens to have their original source text be `@`
instead of the full `@whatever`, which apparently has no consequences
in our current code, but does mess up the debug output introduced in
the following commit.
The initial about:blank document inherits sandbox flags when the
child navigable is created. Parse the iframe sandbox attribute first
so the initial child document gets the correct sandbox state.

On Linux builds with Vulkan, WebContent already paints into GPU-backed
Skia surfaces, but the backing store shared with the UI process was
still a CPU ShareableBitmap. That forced every flush to read the GPU
image back into a bitmap so the UI could sample it, defeating most of
the benefit of GPU painting.
Teach SharedImage to carry a LinuxDmaBufHandle alongside ShareableBitmap
as a Variant, with a tagged IPC encoding and an fd clone on encode so
both processes own an independent handle. When USE_VULKAN_DMABUF_IMAGES
is enabled, BackingStoreManager now allocates the front/back buffers as
linear-modifier Vulkan images and publishes their dmabuf fds to the UI;
the Skia painting surfaces wrap those Vulkan images directly, so no
readback is needed. The old shareable-bitmap path is preserved as a
fallback for the non-Vulkan case and when image creation fails.
On the receive side, SharedImageBuffer::import_from_shared_image mmaps
a linear dmabuf to reconstruct a CPU Bitmap, keeping existing consumers
that expect CPU access working unchanged.
VulkanImage memory type selection is factored into a small helper, and
linear images now request host-visible (cached if available) memory
rather than device-local, since a linear dmabuf has to be CPU-mappable
on the importer side.
Route BroadcastChannel messages over IPC so matching channels can
receive them across WebContent and WebWorker processes, rather than only
within a single process.
Each channel now serializes its payload, sends it upward over IPC, and
receiving processes deliver it locally after matching by storage key and
channel name.
When constructing an Animation a null should be distinguished
from nothing being passed at all. This is not achieved by
use of our custom ExplicitNull IDL extended attribute.
Instead use the argument count to determine if the argument is
missing, which is a much more common pattern in the codebase.
